When I think about God's mercy to me, I stand in awe at His withholding the punishment I deserve, and sending
His Son to bear the penalty, guilt, and power of my sin. How can gratitude for such blessing ever be expressed? When I look at God's Word, I find multiple demonstrations of that deep gratitude:
1. Believe on Christ, Whom God has sent. (John 6:28-29)
2. Keep His commandments. (John 14:15)
3. Glorify God in my body and my spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
4. Sing a new song of praise to God. (Psalm 40:1-3)
5. Let my light shine as reflection of Christ. (Matthew 5:16)
6. Love for God and others. (Matthew 22:37-39)
7. Give biblical answers of the hope that is within me. (1 Peter 3:15)
It is my earnest desire, prayer, and commitment that today I would give accurate expression of the mercy of God to me, in my personal sphere of influence. How about you?
