9-2-15 A God-Centered Focus
Maintaining a God- Centered Focus
The following listing gives good understanding about the character and nature of God
demonstrated in His dealings with us. If we are to have a ready answer for those who
ask a real for our hope in our trials, we need to have God's Word hidden in our hearts
for an answer that offers biblical hope.
1. God's Person Perfect Psalm 18:30
2. God's Purpose Conformity to Christ Romans 8:28-29
3. God's Plan Counsel of His will Ephesians 1:11
4. God's Promise Perpetual Presence Hebrews 13:5
5. God's Performance Faithfulness 1 Corinthians 10:13
6. God's Provision Grace 2 Corinthians 12:9
7. God's Peace Focus-dependent Isaiah 26:3
Having learned these seven aspects, try to bring them to mind throughout the day or night, especially when
sleeplessness is a factor. Many years ago, when I was having many biopsies, back to back, so I was always
attempting to cast my care on Him, especially in thos nighttime cares.
As i would pray about the problem, it seemed to grow even worse. Realizing that i was mediating on the
problem, and that Psalm 119:148 states, Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in
thy word.....i began to maintain a God-centered focus rather than a me-centered focus. What a blessing that
has been!
